What happens if the Jvari pass is closed?
In winter the Georgian Military Road over the Jvari pass (about 2,380 m) can close for hours after snow or avalanche risk. The driver checks the Roads Department status; we then wait, swap day 2 and day 3, or finish the day in Gudauri — at no extra charge for the same distance.[3]
What is included and what is not?
Included: car and driver for three days, fuel, parking, the driver’s room and meals, the border and Georgian car insurance. Not included: your hotels, meals, entrance tickets and the local 4x4 up to Gergeti Trinity Church.
Which documents do we need?
A passport accepted for entry to Georgia. Check your nationality on the Georgian consular site; the trip counts as performed up to the border if a passenger is refused entry.[5]
